La empresa AVANTAGES de Portsmouth fue recomendada por Pilar de la Fuente, responsable de los programas de Movilidad ERASMUS de la Consejería de Educación de Cantabria, en una reunión mantenida con una representación de DECROLY encabezada por el Director, compuesta por el Jefe de Estudios Pedro Cuesta, la Coordinadora de Proyectos Europeos Marta Guzmán y Alfredo de la Presa el pasado jueves 16 de octubre.
El escrito remitido por Marta a AVANTAGES www.avantages.co.uk sobre la organización y búsqueda de alojamiento y empresas para que nuestros alumnos de segundo curso de Administración y Finanzas y Administración de Sistemas Informáticos puedan realizar su FCT en el Reino Unido tuvo una respuesta inmediata.
Es importante reseñar que, en su respuesta, AVANTAGES nos informó sobre las condiciones relacionadas con alojamiento –exclusivamente en familias- y con las empresas en la que realizar el módulo de FCT. AVANTAGES, asimismo, nos informó sobre la posibilidad de ayudarnos a buscar un empleo en Inglaterra en el sector de la restauración, bien en hoteles, bien en restaurantes. Si hubiera algún alumno interesado deberá cumplimentar y tramitar la correspondiente solicitud. Veamos ambos escritos de Marta y la contestación de Nadine Salmon por AVANTAGES.

We are a Vocational Training Centre in Santander. We have the Erasmus University Charter and we want our students to go to England to have their training courses in a company from March or April for ten weeks. We need companies who want to collaborate with us and have our students. «La Consejería de Educación de Cantabria» told us that your company arranges these things, and you find accommodation for these students as well.
Could you give me some information about how you work?

Thank you so much for your mail and I am pleased to send you as attached some information on the fees applicable to Leonardo/Erasmus programmes.
Our prices include full-board accommodation with Host Families; Students who want private accommodation have to organise it themselves since we are not allowed to do it.
Regarding the period of the work placements, would it have to be from March or could it be another period such as from January or from September? I am asking this question because the April to June period is always very high in demand.
